In History we study the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups, as well as the student’s own identity and challenges of their time. It encourages students to have an enquiring mind, think critically and use specific evidence to evaluate historical problems.
You can help by developing your daughter’s knowledge and love of history by watching documentaries, visiting museums and encouraging your daughter to read historical fiction.
It is also important that pupils spend time after each lesson reviewing and discussing their work with you.
